To reduce iCloud storage, I know I can choose to delete/not backup individual app data in the iCloud preferences menu of iOS 5.
But if I turn off data backup for an individual app, what happens if I restore my iPhone using iCloud later?
1. Will the app itself still appear in the same spot/apps page of my iPhone (but without the app data)?
2. Or will the app itself be missing from the iCloud restore (because I deleted/did not backup the app data), and have to be "repurchased"?
3. Or something else?
If the answer is 2 or 3 above, it would seem that there's a "trade-off" whenever you try to reduce iCloud storage by deleting/not backing up individual app data.
I know I can repurchase the same apps from the "Purchased" menu of the App Store but it would be a hassle to have to do that, and then move each individual app to the right folder, screen page, etc.
Thoughts/answers would be gratefully received . . . Thanks!
