When I set up iMessage on a second iPhone, I stop receiving text notifications on my main iPhone (iPhone X).

I jailbroke an iPhone 4S with the intent of using remote messages on my PC. Everything works right, but when I have iMessage enabled on the iPhone 4S, I stop receiving text notifications on my iPhone X. It goes back to normal when I turn off iMessage on the iPhone 4S. Any tips on how to continue receiving notifications on my iPhone X?

Thanks,

On your main phone you should be able to set up text forwarding through Settings-->Messages-->Text Message Forwarding. I would use your new phone for the primary messaging and then forward it back to your old phone. I have messages through my phone, iPad, and iMac all sync. Not sure if two phones work, but if the old one is set up as an iPod like device then I think it would. Two phones and two sim cards might be limiting for a phone number text.
