Hello,

I got a Mac Pro and Macbook Pro running Yosemite, and a iPod Touch running iOS 9. I'm seriously thinking about using iCloud Photo Library and iTunes Match.

The one remaining question I have is this: is it easy to manage the pictures and tunes that are saved locally? In other words, can I decide what gets streamed and what gets saved to the drives?

For example, while my Mac Pro has my entire photo library, I only keep a hand-picked selection of pictures on my Macbook. I'd like those pictures to stay on the Macbook's drive even if I activate iCloud photo Library for those situations when I'm not connected to the net. On the other hand, I don't want other pictures to take up space on the macbook's drive while I'm browsing them from the cloud.

Hopefully that's clearer than mud!

Thanks.

not really, it will keep everything locally unless you are close to running out of space and only then will it replace those with thumbnails

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to look at other options. Getting more and more tired of Apple's one-mentality and one-button approach.
