Hello all,
I need to clean up older messages on my iPhone temporarily. So, I disabled Messages in iCloud on my iPhone, but kept it enabled on my iPad. Sometime in the future, I will enable Messages in iCloud on the iPhone. In between those times, I will have received other messages on both devices. Am I right in thinking that when I enable Messages in iCloud again, I will get those messages from iCloud back on my iPhone? What if I had deleted some of those older existing messages only on my iPhone AFTER disabling Messages in iCloud? Will I get those back, or will those messages be marked for deletion on iCloud? And if I set the option to Keep Message History for 1 year, then set it back to Forever, what happens when I enable Messages on iCloud? Will it also delete everything older than 1 year, or stay at Forever?
Hope someone can clear this up. Thank you.
