so like a spoilt over funded nerd I am I bought one of the manilamac.com airmail cases and just noticed that my CC has been charged, but I have received no correspondence about shipping, other than a week or so ago saying that shipping was delayed.

So has anyone who has also ordered received anything else, your case, correspondence ?

I got the same email as you guys. I really wish I had the AirMail now so I could put my MacBook Air in it, hopefully they'll ship soon. It feels too fragile to put it in the messenger bag I carried my 12" PowerBook in, it needs a sleeve.

they are no longer being homemade. They had too many orders so were sent to an external source to be manufactured. This was part of the delay.

And if I wanted to buy a plain envelope I would have, but this seems a decent slip case and the price is comparable to others so I don't know what you guys are bitching about.

Yes you pay by paypal therefore your charged straight away.

Don't think it's a scam because they are responding to emails, and going to a lot of trouble keeping people informed.

Scam artists rarely follow up anything after taking your money.

But yeah, we await and as soon as any other information is available I'm sure we will post

It seems to me they totally underestimated the amount of demand and are now scrambling to get them produced. Hopefully for you, and them, they will start shipping soon. Would be a shame if their business failed because of supply issues!

Nothing new for me... I ordered mine a few days ago, and recently received the email from the Manilamac guys, informing me that shipment would be delayed.

If it is true that they're scrapping the whole hand-made thing and have moved to a factory-based construction, I wouldn't blame them. Big demand! But the sleeve looks hot, so I'm willing to wait a few weeks (even if it means not taking my MBA with me on my journeys outta the house).

But hey, this whole waiting-for-the-AirMail sleeve thing is small fries compared to the epic wait I've experienced for my MBA, which happens to be pending delivery tomorrow, all being well!

I'm still patiently waiting for my Manila Mac. I've had my Air for a week now and took it out of the house for the first time yesterday without a case or anything. I clutched it pretty well so as not to let it slip out of my hand and laid it gently on the passenger seat next to me in the car. I can't wait to get this case though. I ordered mine January 17th so I would hope mine would be coming soon.

I know they said if we want to cancel we can get back to them and they will process the cancellation, but really I just want my sweet looking case that i'm prepared to wait. (for now)
