I have a 5,1 Mac Pro with a Radeon RX580 GPU. Mostly I run Mojave on a GUID 2 Tb EVO 860 SSD in one of the drive bays. It is in an ICY Dock and connects using SATA. It gives no trouble. There are three partitions on the drive.

I have some other SSD's that are formatted APFS, including one that is running Sonoma (Hynix 512 Gb). The APFS drives are prone to corruption (even when not using OpenCore, for example, one that runs Mojave (did run Mojave) and not OC).

What manual tools are available to: make a preliminary inspection of the mapping of the drives, and hopefully, to allow me to rebuild those maps. TestDisk is fine for HFS+ drives, but I understand that it does not do well with APFS SSD's.

Thank you for any help with this.
