OK, I've seen some posts about this... and a few minutes ago I noticed that my MBA's keyboard was not lighting up as it's supposed to. A little experimenting and I found the solution (you may kick yourself, this is so simple):

The F5 key decreases keyboard brightness.
The F6 key increases keyboard brightness.

The icons on these two keys are the clue. :)

It's the buttons with the flat line and the dots coming out of it in a half circle.
How can people miss that?

haha nice thanks!! I always wondered what those 2 keys were for!

I got a question regarding the keyboard lighting...does it ever turn off? or does it stay home al the time?

Cheers

There's an ambient light sensor that adjusts the brightness based on that, and turns it off in a bright room. It's the same way the brightness of the screen adjusts, I think.
