How do you find the manufacturing date of your mac? I head how before but i forgot

Isn't it on the box? I'm not being a smartass, I just never thought about it.
I know how to find it on my car but that sums it up.

by use a of a widget that comes with os 10.4 it can tell when and where your mac was built/
