I have all these little black dots on my mbp screen id say over 50. I tried wiping a cloth over them, cleaning the screen, but nothing it working, im trying to take pictures but my camera doesn't focus that close.

could they possibly be dead pixels(seems like A LOT if they were)? what else could they be? I've had my laptop for about 5 months now.

If they don't go away after a good cleaning then they are definitely pixel anomalies. If they are black they are dead if they are red, green or blue they are stuck.

Just take it into the Apple store or call up AppleCare.

i took this from appledefects, they look similar to this:

the only reason why i didn't think they were dead pixels at first is because they were all over the screen there's so many.

will apple replace it under warranty? im going to the apple store later today.

they said that it's not that obvious, but you can definitely see some spots if u tried looking hard.

i can try to send it in but they might not do anything at all. i'd be w/o my laptop for a week. does it cost money to send it in?
