Mapped NTFS drive clears file permissions on FTP upload.

Hi guys,
work has got us a lovely new shiny mac pro 6 core

BUT...

Our shared drive is a remote NTFS drive. We can write there no problems but when i upload via Filezilla it resets all the file permissions to blank. We can then edit them manually to the right values but its very intensive to do this for every upload...

We installed Paragon NTFS but the drive was not detected.

Can anyone help?

You don't need Paragon NTFS, because when a disk is shared over the network, that disk's format is not "transmitted" (for lack of a better term) over the network. The sharing protocol on the server handles that translation.
What you're really trying to solve is why permissions are cleared when you upload files to an FTP server. The reason for this is that an FTP client needs to set the permissions after it's uploaded files. The FTP protocol has nothing inherent about sending permissions– rather, the FTP client needs to set permissions after the files are uploaded.
Cyberduck has the ability to do this, but from what I read, Filezilla does not.
If this is a local network share, you should be using SMB to connect through the Finder rather than FTP.

We are connecting to the remote drive with smb://pcname already.
Then we are uploading from that directory to the FTP.

If we copy the files locally then upload the result is the same.

So your work server being there is irrelevant.
Use a different FTP client, like Cyberduck:
