maps.app overlay on iphone

Is there a way to create an overlay on the maps application on the iPhone? How can I do this??


It should be possible, since Navizon is an example of this. It's a maps plugin that allows users to update their coordinates, find friends, and view them as pins on the map.

I have the same question as nujjus! Not only Navizon managed to integrate with maps.app: igpsd can update marker, XWaves made overlayed bar with marker updating
No, drivefast google web maps through webview won't have that nice animation, map type selection.
