Maps application unexpectedly quits.

Anyone else experiencing this?

On my iPhone, Maps sometimes unexpectedly quits. The screen goes black and returns you to the Home menu.

I assume it's something that will be fixed with a software update.

This has happen to me as well more than once. The first time I thought that maybe I hit the home button, now I wonder if maybe the connection to Edge or wifi was lost.

Happened to me in safari, maps and notes

I've had this happen to me in safari, maps and notes. I'm a bit concerned that I may have a bum phone. Has anyone else had this problem? In all this has happened about 5 or 6 times on my phone.

It's happened to me a few times in Maps... not sure about Safari, haven't spent too much time using it.

the google maps thing happened to me once

i think this is an application issue that should be fixed with a software update

i expect various software updates in the coming weeks!

it's happened to me as well for maps and safari and I would assume is the cause of other people's complaints about the ipod quitting while they're on the web. Hopefully we'll see an update soon to fix this, let us assign ringtones that aren't a dog barking, send MMS and use iChat

This is happening to me all the time, if Im in maps for more than a few minutes it quits on me, same with safari, just not quite as much. Its really getting annoying.

its happened to me when listening to music and clicking on a bookmark in maps or zooming in. It has to be fixed. I will not continue to restart my music and map app each time. Other than that, Im in love with the iPhone. Hopefully apple will release a software update, im just not used to having to live by their software updates ala Microsoft.

I had the same problem.. My safari also quit sometimes... so i powered the device completely off (held the top button until gave the option to shut off) the turned back on and it seems to be working fine. Hope that works for you! Im sure it will be something in a software update though!

Yup me too

I've had safari quit several times while I'm zooming in or changing web pages. I've had ipod cut off while browsing safari.
I've had google maps quit unexpectedly.
My gmail and yahoo still don't work.

Have cut it off and on a couple times, it works for a minute, then starts acting up again. Also tried recharging from wall plug fully, then using again, same thing. Tried restoring factory settings, same issues.

Quite anxious for that first update. Not so cool when I'm demoing google maps and safari for someone and they both quit in the middle.
