Has anyone gotten maps into night mode either on the phone or while in Carplay? I know it's beta but makes Maps wayyy too bright at night using CarPlay.

I was in a rental car (Chevy Malibu) last week running CarPlay and iOS 10 and the maps app would go into dark mode whenever the headlights were on

Yes, it comes on for me. I believe it is also tied to headlights for me. Will even come on if I'm on a heavily wooded road during the day.

Works fine here on 2016 Chevy Malibu.

Works for me on my Pioneer head unit.
