"Mark as Unread" in Mail?

Noticed this last night, my Girlfriend's mail program on her iPhone has a "Mark as Unread" option at the top of each opened mail message. My iPhone does not. Does anyone know why this is? I checked all setting and didn't see anything, and we have the exact same phone, bought at the same time. Did I miss an update or something?

I don't have it and I know I'm up-to-date on updates

Mine has it. Maybe there is a difference if you are set-up to POP vs. IMAP? I IMAP. You?

I'm IMAP, on Gmail. So weird! Wonder what it could be...
