Hi Folks.
I have 3G iPhone.
How can I mark inbox messages as READ??
Even if I read them for 30 seconds they still appear as UNREAD (with the Blue dot).
I tried clicking the Blue dot (in each message, which dims it) as though it's now READ, but it's not. It still appears in the INBOX as UNREAD.
Is there any way of setting the 'Mark as Read' after reading it for 3 seconds?
Any guidance appreciated.

On my iPhone, my email is marked as unread right when I choose it. However, inside the email the blue dot is highlighted and if I tap the dot, it marks the email as Unread.

You shouldn't have to click the dot to make it Read.

What happens when you select an email and go back to the inbox without tapping the blue dot? Does is still remain Unread or is it marked as Read?

Having tried continuously, I suddenly found a way to do it.
In the INBOX, if I slide my finger over the LEFT hand side of the message (where the blue dot is), then the message appears (for it to be read) but the blue dot has gone.
Previously I slid my finger over the right hand side (>) to read the message.
Then the dot never disappeared.

Not sure if I was doing it wrong but at least I found a way round it.
Thanks Guys
