My screen is always clean, but I am just recently seeing little black marks in quite a few places. It's nothing major, but kind of a nuisance. Has anyone had a similar problem or know of anything to solve this? They seem to be under the screen because they won't come off.

I have the same problem. The screen needs to be replaced.

I had the same problem (I think). Mine were more gray than black. Apple replaced my screen.

Is it the keyboard rubbing on the screen when the lid is closed? My PowerBook 12" has that problem and it has quite a few key marks on it. :(

This is going to be a major pain in the ass. I guess I'll back everything up and send it in when I get home from vacation.

This is a problem that Apple has not been able to resolve for the past 6-7 years - not until the Macbook keyboard! In any case, it's common (i'm not going to say normal since that would imply that it was meant to be like this which is obviously not the case) and I think that if the marks don't go away Apple should replace the display.
