Decided not to wait for the Moto 360, especially since I will be using an iPhone 6 a good majority of the time, but also wanted something stylish and 'looks' like a watch vs. a Casio Databank from the 1980's (which I still happen to own as well!) The Martian Notifier looks like a high end watch, has custom vibration patterns, touch glass to review your past notification, works with almost any app that can push notifications, has an led indicator light and only costs $129 with free shipping.
As you can see from the pics, it looks great, has a quality fit and finish (unlike the ugly plastic Pebble), but the band is pure silicon garbage. In the heat, sweat builds up and it stinks. Why they decided to go with such a cheap band, I don't know? It was simple enough to change out though, as Martian uses the standard 22mm pins to mount the band to the watch. I prefer my leather carbon fiber band as you can see. Makes the watch look so much better.
I really love the ability to customize the vibration patterns for all my apps. I get a call and it is 4 long vibrations along with the OLED display showing the name and phone number. I get a text and I get 4 short vibration busts along with the name of the person and a scrolling display of the first 3 lines of the text. Email is similar. And then Google+, twitter, etc are all set for short and long vibration patterns.
Miss a notification and all you have to do is tap the watch face to replay the notification, as long as you do it within 5 minutes. After that, no joy.
The watch has all the usual stuff, like an alarm, world time, etc. Def worth $129 and since it works with both iPhone and Android, it is better than what Android wear or Apple will give us.
