Since Disney now owns Marvel and Steve Jobs has a lot influence at Disney; what's the likelihood that Marvel.com would begin supporting HTML 5 for their digital comic subscriptions? Imagine reading on the ipad versus having to view your subscription on one of the upcoming android tablets that support flash! I wonder what's taking so long for Marvel to support Apple's format?

They already have an iPad app. But for some stupid reason you have to buy the comics and you can't just use your digital subscription.

The 'stupid' reason is that they already have thousands of comics on the site in flash format. They have to recode all of those for html5, which would take a long time.

I'm sure they have to be looking at it though.
