I bit the bullet and downloaded it as well. So far it's working as it did before.

Side note: While it hasn't completely fixed my sorting issue (still many artists are listed by first name, ignoring the tags) the strange problem I showed you with the dividers is completely gone.
Wow, I'm so Happy that Marvis is working Great and also your sorting Issue is bit improved.

My Experience on 8.4.
  • Missing Artworks are downloaded Automatically, and the Artworks which were already available got replaced as well. Downloads Crap and different artworks for the tracks in same album sometimes.
  • Some of the Tracks got deleted. Sad.
  • Marvis crashes if one Item is played instantly after another. (And will continue crashing until another item is played via Music Player)
  • Sorting no longer ignores "a,an,the" for Albums, Marvis Follows the same Sorting Behaviour. Oddly Artists still Ignore them.

if anyone is wondering, I did a fresh Restore.

I'll add more issues as I find.

Update 1: Marvis Crashing Fixed After Reboot. Silly. Actually it's related to iCloud Music Library, turning off and on might solve.

Update 2: iCloud Music Library Toggle Missing. So My AppleMusic Downloaded Tracks Disappeared.(Actually I was logged out of AppleMusic after restart, weird)

Update 3: Make Available Offline Option is sometimes not Available. It's Related to "Loading Library" I guess. "Loading Library" & "Loading Playlists" Takes almost Forever.

Update 4: Duplicate playlists generated. About 7-8 for some playlists.

Update 5: Some might already know this that it's not actually compulsory to Make Music Available Offline to make it Visible in Marvis, you can just use 'Add to My Music' and it'll still show up in Marvis.

Stupid question: does this also work with Apple Music? As in: can I stream what Apple has to offer through this app?

Not Stupid Question at All. When you use the 'Add to My Music" or "Make available Offline" option, you can play those AppleMusic tracks via Marvis.

Tracks Added to My Music (not download) would Stream when you play via Marvis, just like AppleMusic.

Really?
So all I have to do is a track to "My Music" through default "Music" app and than I can play it through Marvis?
What about if I don't add it to My Music? Just add it to a Playlist which is marked for offline play?

PS: can I stream and search directly through Marvis without first adding it to "My Music" in default app?

Yeah Seriously, Even adding to the Playlist works.

Sorry you can't directly Search AppleMusic via Marvis now, I'll check if it'd be possible in Future. Probably Apple hasn't given access to all 3rd Party.

Cool. So it turns out it's better to ask no matter how stupid a question might sound :).
Thanks, downloading now.

If Apple approves 3rd party access than this would be AWESOME! I don't really like the Apple Music app :(

If Apple could use restrictions to force some tabs disappear, I would like using stock music app again.

Binding yourself online is not a good choice, especially some countries would not allow Google to send balloons to the air in order to provide unlimited internet connection.

I would prefer keeping everything I would use a local copy, for easy and handy access. In turn, I need to do all hardware replacement tasks.

Sure, I don't want to bind myself just to streaming but I have a 4G plan with no limit Europe wide so I don't really care about traffic
But the stuff I listen most I will make it available offline.

Envy you guys have unlimited data plan.

DRM is another reason I refuse Apple Music. But I think it will break the ability to change between regions, which, is intolerable for me.

You guys at least have Fast Internet, even if not all the time. I just have 512Kbps net available here. It's just a horrible experience. Took over 2-3 hours to download 15 AppleMusic Tracks for me.

Then you surely need to keep everything possible Offline.

Mine is not bad, but not blazing fast. And I hate handing in everything I have to cloud. This could not even be considered as a reliable backup. i would better say cloud service as a relay station.

One More thing I don't like is AppleMusic is Linked to the AppStore account. I have multiple accounts, So If I try to change logins, I log out of AppleMusic as well, I wish the login was linked to the current iCloud Account.

Yeah... We got here (at least me) 150mbps. On average its 60-70mbps fast:). So no worries.
I hate it too that it's tied to one appleid:(

How do you get music to show up on the app? Do I just sync iTunes like normal and your app sees it?

All the music that's on your Music Library in your iOS device will be visible to Marvis. This even includes the AppleMusic or iTunes downloads. Not just downloads but even the ones that aren't downloaded, but listed on iCloud and yet to be streamed. Marvis would stream those for you.

In short, anything that can be played via Music App Can be played via Marvis.

And yeah, you'll need iTunes to sync your songs if you have a library. But AppleMusic would be great option if you don't want to go for the trouble. It has free for 3 month Trial. Probably you know that.

I hope the app can be optimized to handle my 20k track iTunes Match / IML. I'd love to use it, but it keeps crashing. Having to turn off cloud music kind of defeats the purpose :)

iCloud music itself is buggy now, so crash on third party apps is expected.

Apple will take a couple of weeks or even months to take over all bugs and address them properly.

Well, to be honest that shouldn't be the problem, There's probably something else. Tell me the places it crashes, like specifically what you do. Coz others are using it with iTunes Match, nicely.

Main offender seems to be the playlists tab. When I set that to be local only, things seems ok. When it's set to all, crash crash crash.

Ohhhh, so you mean everything else works fine, I mean other views?

Playlists, this gets me thinking, what could probably be wrong. Try one more thing please, just show the iCloud music only. What Happens?

If they ever do. Apple doesn't seem to update their services very often, as in the case with iTunes Match.

I'm sure the next version of their "cloud services" will be called Apple Cloud.

So, they update their service by updating the name?

Even we can expect Apple would not do such meaningless thing, the service quality improvements is surely imminent.
