Bought one for my 17" PB to try out from Apple Store.

The keyboard cover was not cut to cover the entire keyboard. The palm covers are rather thick (too thick for me). I returned it, and went back to my LPS leather protector from OWC. It's one piece, covers the entire surface (keyboard, speaker area, palm rest, trackpad). Since it covers everything, there is no edge to trap dust and make a line on screen.

Not very impressed with the Marware.

I bought the Marware and don't like it at all. As someone else said the palm rest is thick and shows dust along the side. And the keyboard cover wasn't very soft at all, I was worried it would actually scratch the screen. I took off the palm rest cover and threw away the keyboard cover. I went back to my shaggy mac (http://www.shaggymac.com). Bought an approx. size and cut it down to size.

okay.... first impressions

So I just brough the Protection Pack for the 13 inch Macbook (White) and put it on. My first impressions after five minutes:

1. Palm rest - It does only cover part of the non-keyboard/non touchpad part (i.e., it does not cover the are to the left, right and top of the keyboard. It not as thick as a CD. (trying to figure out a good thing to compare it to....)

2. The keyboard cover, as it has been reported already, does not cover the keyboard. (let me put it this way, if I just try to just put it over the keyboard keys (not the indentation for the keyboard itself) , I can see that I have a "shif" key on my keyboard.

Initial verdict - Thumbs down for the keyboard cover. Thumbs slightly up for the palm rest because I am dealing with Macbook revision A browning and it solves that problem temporarily.

I also have a OWC keyboard cover that I poached from my 15 inch powerbook - I think that will work better when it comes to closing the Macbook for transport.

Thanks all...:)

I really recommend the Marware product - great protection for the wrist area - however the additional keyboard cover I use as an extra cleaning cloth - as it feels a bit rough - I use a radtech screensaver to cover the entire area instead.

No issues with closing the lid at all - I've an iSkin/Marware Wrist protector and Screensaver and my MB is very field friendly.

here is a link to a photo of my MB with the Marware product (post #16):

Finally I have arrived.....
I bought Marware's Protection Pack Plus for my MBP and I also just purchase their Protection Pac for my 12" PB. I think their wrist area protection sheet is good. But, their keyboard cover (also known as screen protector as it protects from dirty keyboard) is like a loin cloth (it is too small). So, I use Radtech's screensaverz.

I have had it for both of my laptops. I just got the new 17inch CD2 MBP. it is hard to get it on well. It tends to want to bubble up or come unstuck around the mouse part. Once you get it on and there is no stress in the sticker it stays put really well. The wrist protector is raised even with the mouse button. I like the that it is even with the mouse button it feels better that way. It makes it easy to feel where the track pad is because you can feel the raised ege of the sticker. I like the keyboard cloth it is just big enough to cover it. It does a good job of keeping all that greese off of the screen. I am so used to having it on there that i would not want to live with out it. I really like it and would reccomend it to others.

i have this for my MacBook. its a good product but a little over priced imo. like one said earlier, to get the palm rest on right takes a while but after that you wont have to worry about it. the palm rest is not obscenely "thick", not enough to cause a problem at least. it helps in preventing the black stains from your palms.

the keyboard protector is intended when you close the lid and doubles as a screen cloth. overall, the product does its job well and is a good investment for $20.

Have you been able to apply Marware's palm rest cover perfectly lining up with the edge of the notebook? I tried both of their products for 12"PB and 15"MBP; it is a little crooked even though I was being careful in applying precisely.

I have one for the MBP - my only complaint was that it covered the notches in the lid (and thus the latches need more pressure to close). A simple razor did the trick.

So far, it's been working beautifully for me.

i returned it
not worth the $$$ to me at all
first the keyboard cover didn't even cover all the keys. not to mention i thought it was so rough that i didn't even wanna put it on the keyboard because it might scratch the screen
the palm rest was just ugly as hell. and it doesn't even stick properly on the corners
i have nothing on my palm rest and i don't have any discoloration issues whatsoever. still looks brand new
i would get the iskin keyboard cover instead. thats why i did. returned the marware and bought an iskin keyboard cover. much better if u ask me
