Hello, I’m trying to delete 450 photos from my iPhone via my 2017 iMac.

With Windows I would just open the file system select all and delete.

With Mac it doesn’t seem that easy. I opened image capture and selected all my photos and selected delete. Once I confirm it says “deleting...” at the bottom but then it disappears a few seconds later and nothing deleted off my phone.

I’ve tried several times and have had the same result - any suggestions beyond plugging it into an old windows machine to delete?

Might be easier to do it via Photos on the iPhone itself. Hit Select at the top right in Camera Roll, then the photos you want to delete. You can quickly select lots of photos by long pressing while scrolling down.

Yep! This should work or you can choose the photos sorted by day under “photos” you can even go to the collections section and it does it by month too!
