Hi, here is my problem.

I was running Mass effect 1 perfectly on a NVIDIA 9600GT.

Ive recently changed over to a bigger harddrive, reinstalled mass effect, drivers, directx. everything.

But now it seems the game wont use the video card and it runs sluggishly, even on the lowest settings.

I tried buying another card, Radeon HD5670. Same issue.

What I dont get is that Crysis runs perfect on the machine still, so i assume there is some sort of problem the mass effect game, rather than my system.

Any help???

Thanks

First and foremost make sure all of your drivers are up to date. I know it sounds like a lame suggestion, but if you are running out of the box drivers a lot of times problems are fixed with the new drivers.

To clear up a few things.

Is your system a MacBook Pro with a 9600(M) GT? Or is it an actual PC with a 9600 GT -- the desktop card?

What version of Windows are you using? If it's a MacBook Pro, you are playing through Bootcamp correct?

Now you mentioned the game ran perfectly, but then you swapped out the hard-drive. Is that the only thing you changed on your system?

If Mass Effect did run fine before and all you did was upgrade the HD, but put the same OS back on and so on, then it's your system that's missing something, so start with nVidia.com and download the latest drivers for you GPU.
