Anybody pick up Mass Effect for PC? It's on sale at Best Buy for $39.99 this week, I'm debating buying it, but the system specs specifically list the radeon x1600 pro as being NOT supported. I'm running a late 2006 iMac with the x1600, so will it simply not run, or is performance going to lag? As a point of reference, I found Bioshock perfectly acceptable at medium settings at 1280x720 on my machine.

answer my own question

I'll update, since no one's offered their experience... I went ahead and bought it, and it runs great! the late 2006 iMacs apparently have the x1600xt, with DDR3 and shader 3.0, so it has no problems graphically.

I have it running at 1280x720, highest textures, anisotropic filtering, no antialiasing, no shadows and no motion blur and it looks pretty good, runs smoothly except for when there are lots of explosions, etc.

And the game is great! Very much like a highly refined KOTOR. Very cinematic, great music, great voice acting. Maybe they'll port it to Mac in a year, but why wait?
