Mass Effect on 2011 MBP

Do you think Mass Effect 1 & 2 will play better on my MBP 15" High res 2011 2.3 ghz with 8Gigs of ram and the AMD 6750. Or will it play better on Xbox 360?

I'm asking b/c their on sale over at Steam for today and I was thinking of picking them up. :D
 
You will have better graphics on the MBP. I guess the controller scheme is the only difference in terms of gameplay. I prefer keyboard + mouse but a lot of people like using the gamepad for ME.
 
That computer will play ME at native res, with everything on highest settings. I should know, I do so on my 17".

The 6750M (and most other modern discrete video cards) is far more powerful than anything in an XBox 360.
 
I went ahead and bought them both. Mass Effect 1 & 2. the digital deluxe editions for 25 bucks is a steal.:D

Probably my favorite games of all time (Next to Xenogears on PS1). I can't wait for Mass effect 3.

Yeah, I get 45-60 FPS with everything maxed and AA x2 on ME2.

usually in the 50's.

This game is beautiful on PC. I guess I have to start another Playthrough for about the 10th time b/c there is no way i'm going to get Mass Effect 3 for Xbox.

How come I can play ME2 Maxed with no problems, but struggle to play Kotor at a decent frame rate! this baffles me.. :confused:
 
I had a very good performance and graphics with Mass Effect on my 2008 MBP so...yeah, I'd assume it'll run great on your 2011.

Where did you buy these?

Are these Mac versions, or PC with a 'skin for it?

Running bootcamp i get about 40 fps with a 2011 17" MBP when playing ME2. BTW, you can buy ME2 from amazon for 9.99 right now.
