Mass Text vs. Group Text

My wife is due any day now. Oddly, one of my concerns is sending out the mass text to friends and family with the pictures after the birth. My concern is that sending out the message will spam everyone with the others responses. As most of you know, when you send a text to multiple people ios makes it is group text. Is there any way to make it so it's not a group text and more of mass text that won't spam all the members with responses?

Yep to do it quickly simply turn iMessage off and then send your message to everyone.

Thanks for the response. But when I tested this with a group of 3 iPhones, each response went to every phone. Any other ideas?
