My brother is having a hard time, health wise, and cannot remember his "Master Password". I am looking into resetting his "Master Password" (I think same as "admin password") but I think I see that "creating a new account" that way means files in the old account will not be accessible. That seems crazy, but I see the warning posted repeatedly. On the other hand, some people recommend the password reset with no caution that the "old files" will not be accessible.
I can imagine situations where that would good, but it would not be good for me in this case.
