Hi, I would like to know that if I purchase an album on iTunes store, which is not "Mastered for iTunes", and it gets "Mastered for iTunes", in the near or far future, will I be able to download the "Mastered for iTunes" version, or not?

Thanks.

My guess is that Apple would for this what they did going from 128kbps to 256kbps ("iTunes Plus"). I actually have some song from iTunes that are still 128kbps but I can't find a way to upgrade them to 256kbps files.

It might. I have many many ripped CDs that I uploaded using iTunes Match. It matched the to the Mastered for iTunes versions and when I downloaded them, get info tab shows Mastered for iTunes.

I think it will only do it though if you have iTunes Match.
