Match does NOT replace library???

Confused on this one... iTunes match did not delete songs off my iPhone when I enabled it.

Confused on this one... iTunes match did not delete songs off my iPhone when I enabled it.

It only deletes them if the songs that match has in it are different then whats on your iPhone/ipod

Sort of like if you where to sync with someone else's computer when you have auto sync turned on.

thanks, sorry... still confused. It didn't delete any of my library currently on my phone. Are you saying if it had to upload a song it couldn't match, it would then be deleted?

It also did not delete the songs already on my iPod. I think there is confusion regarding this new service. I assume if I delete one it will be replaced with an entry from the cloud with the icon to download (like all the other songs that weren't on the iPod before iTunes Match).

Same thing here, I turn on iTunes match on my iPhone, and it neither deletes the songs on the device or shows any of the other songs that I uploaded via match to iCloud

I take it back, I synced my iPhone. It still didn't work. Then I just left it hooked up to my computer for awhile afterwards, and all of the sudden it worked. Really don't know why.

settings>music> iTunes match and show all music set to ON????
