mmmm... jessica.'s beer...
I tried searching, no luck... So some songs are 'uploaded' and are 128K and not matched when they should be. I have some songs in the same album where half the songs are matched and half are uploaded. Why is iTunes not realizing that these should be matched? They are available in iTunes so I don't understand how to force it to match. Here for example is an album that I ripped from a CD... Any help appreciated

All I can say is be thankful it is only 'Some' of your files. I've matched 21% and the rest are uploading (22 -hours and counting). Many of the uploads (not matched) are in iTunes. I also have the 1/2 album matched but the rest uploaded. I don't know how they determine a match (I've read some theories) but they need to go back to the R&D department on that one. When all is said and done I think it will be a nice feature and $25/year is worth it but it sure is painful getting there.

Some of the music I purchased on iTunes itself, didn't match! I wonder if it'll match those files up later? I ran the match thing a few times and some of those files are still "waiting" to be uploaded...

I really hope that Apple fine tunes their software and let's subscribers re-scan uploaded songs to maximize matching. It would be in their best interest since the more matches they have, the less of their cloud space is taken up with uploads.

I think it's initial "preparing" scan needs some work.

When I signed up, I had around 1,200 songs Matched, and waited hours while it Uploaded around 4,900 songs.

Today when I check the stats in Itunes it says over 5300 were matched, and only 770 uploaded.

I did an "Update iMatch" through iTunes and that seems to have fixed things. Many (can't say all b/c there are a lot to check) of the songs I was missing previously are now present on my iPhone (3Gs) and it found another 1200 songs to upload that it had previously 'missed' somehow.
