Is anyone finding specific artists that refuse to be "Matched?"

From my 20k library, a solid 10k songs were matched.
But many popular artists won't recognize a song at all from my 256kbps Cd rips. Included is Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, DMB, John Coltrane.

Further, has anyone actually successfully been able to delete songs from iCloud? I created a new itunes library and deleted the entire Match library 3 times and it refuses to take.

I don't know if I'm understanding this wrong, but I thought that only songs that are higher than 96kbps, but less than 256kbps got Matched.

Since iTunes Match is upgrading your lower quality tracks to 256kbps, if your track is already 256kbps, then their is no need to upgrade your music.

You aren't understanding the system wrong. however it is not your prerogative which tracks I upgrade. You clearly don't have the answer to the question.

It matched about 19,000 out of 23,000 for me, including songs from all of those artists you mentioned.
