"Matched pair" memory question

I'm thinking of adding memory to my aluminum 2.8ghz iMac. It currently has the 1x2GB module installed from Apple (anyone know who the manufacturer of Apple memory is?). I'm thinking of ordering another 1x2Gb stick from Crucial. It's 2GB, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300, item number CT715145. My question is... because it's a different manufacturer, but I'm assuming it's the same configuration as the first stick, would the iMac consider it a matched pair, or not? If not, is there another manufacturer's memory that would be considered a matched pair?

As long as the configuration, size and speed match you should be fine.
Just that nobody can give you a 100% absolute guarantee that configuration on chip A will match configuration on unknown chip B.

Apple uses variously Samsung, Hynix and Micron modules. You could pop the module out of your machine and see...
