I am a live recorder. I recently bought a new G4 iBook 14" . I also bought a M-Audio Transit to interface with my Zafiro mic preamp.
My first recording went fairly well except for some clicks in the recording.... not acceptable so I went back and started experimenting with the settings a bit.
It has been progressivly more and more difficult to select the Driver in GB. At one stage I was having the Mac prefs window freeze, but this seems to have stopped for now. GB has frozen too.
AT THE MOMENT I JUST CAN'T GET GB TO LOAD THE TRANSIT DRIVER. It is available in prefs AND there is a greyed out message in the GB prefs saying that a 44.1 something is not available.
I just don't get it. There last week and gone now!
I have the latest Transit driver, and I have reloaded it just to be sure.
This is my first post, but I have been recording live acoustic concerts....legally.... for years.
I am looking forward to using the Mac as my main recorder, but I'm not off to a happy start. Please help.
