Mavericks Mail app, folder notifications

Hello,
I purchased my first mac yesterday.
Am in the process of setting up mail,

I haven't been able to find 'oulook' on the dad account window ? ... like on the iphone ios ? ...

and also once setting up the iCloud email on mavericks, I only seem to get notification from the iCloud inbox folder, and not the sub folders...

on my iphone, I can select the folders I want to receive email alerts from ,

This should help you setup Outlook.com IMAP mail in the OS X Mail app.

hey sorry about that, found the link,. applied it and its working, BUT, I'm still having problems with notifications from specific folders.

my outlook account contains about 15 folders, all with different emails/rules sorting to each folder.

but the 'mail app' is only notifying me of emails received in the 'inbox' folder

any suggestions ?

Those rules you setup at Outlook.com are not going to work over in the Mail app, but Mail does have its own rules you can use. Do a command-comma to bring up Mail preferences and you will see the rules pane to the right.

thankyou, i found it - you just need to select 'all mailboxes' instead of just inbox,
