Mavericks updates + nMP

So I got my nMP today and have spend a few hours getting apps installed and everything ready to go but I can't install some apps from the App Store because it only has 10.9.0 installed and the apps need 10.9.1. The weird thing is I've installed a bunch of updates but App Store won't recognize that there is updates to mavericks and I can't install the updates when I download them from Apples site anyone else had this issue with there new machine?

Download all of these direct from Apple:

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1714

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726

These will apply all firmware updates and bring you to 10.9.2

Thank you the SMC update seems to have been installed but the EFI was missing so will update that and then try the combo install, thanks and I'll write back once I know the results!

Both the SMC and EFI updates were incompatible with my Mac Pro apparently :/ But the combo update of OS X worked great so I'm up to 10.9.2 now!

AFAIK; It's always better to update your os x with the combo!
