Dear All,
I'm thinking of upgrading to the Hitachi Travelstar 7k200 which has a 16mb cache. Is this the largest cache size currently available in a 2.5" drive? I have noticed that some of the desktop SATA drives have up to 32mb cache.
I wonder why larger cache sizes haven't found their way into notebook drives? I would have thought it would be a fairly straightforward way of improving battery life and some OS actions. No?
