Apologies if this is the wrong thread:
When you purchase a new MacBook Apple gives you the 3yr option or the more recently a yearly option. As far as I know, at least with iPads/iPhones—if you buy the 2yr AC+, before it expires you can continue monthly. Does this also apply to MacBooks now?
I do now you have either the 3yr or yearly AC+ option at time of purchase (or 60 days), but say you were to keep the MacBook for 5+ years, how long will Apple let the AC+ yearly continue.
As well does the yearly option only apply at purchase, or works the same as iPads and you can continue yearly just before the 3yr expires.
Obviously for a lower end MacBook it doesn’t make sense, but for a 16” these aren’t cheap and I want to know how long you can keep extending the AC for. 3yrs isn’t long enough especially if the logic board dies or you hydrate it with coffee after the 3yrs ends.
TIA!
