No thank you. Companies that rent out software are on my blacklist.

Apple shoud simply add a customizable EQ natively for the amount of money they charge.

It is free for 7 days right? After that you need to to get one of their subscription plans.

Or am I looking at the wrong Boom sofware in the App Store?

You’re fussing about $15 for an entire year after you paid $550 ?

it has a functioning equalizer and 3d enhancement which IMO is improving soundstage.

AND you can have separate EQ settings for INDIVIDUAL SONGS

I don’t care. I will never support the renting business model. They are on my blacklist.

Only for streaming services like QoBuz, Tidal, Netflix, and so on ... I am willing to pay for, but not renting out software.

And why should I pay for an EQ that Bose and Sony have for free with their headphones in the first place? Apple should add a customizable EQ themselves.

You can get an EQ in the Spotify app. I don't see Apple adding this because adding unnecessary settings isn't Apple like

Not everybody uses Spotify? And my $100 Sony WH-1000XM3 (black friday deal) has a customizable EQ, so how does the APM that costs almost 6 times more than my Sony WH-1000XM3 have no EQ.

Buy the Sony ones then? These headphones aren't for everyone. You have to buy what is right for you. It's like I have a mechanical keyboard that clicks loudly. I've had people say it's way too loud and annoying and they would never buy it. My answer is good because it's not for everyone. These headphones aren't for audiophiles who want custom settings. They are for people who want good sound with no fuss. You pair them with your iPhone, open Apple Music, and listen. Apple is well known for not having many options in the way of customization. If you want that you're in the wrong ecosystem.

Why should I buy them if I already own the Sony's also? What do I need 2 of the same pair headphones for?

I find it pretty funny how you find it acceptable that people are spending $15/year for this BOOM app to have an EQ on a $550 headphone that should have been included in the first place for free.

Why should have it been included? Because you say so?

I for one, don’t care about an EQ. The headphones sound great as they are, certainly a significant improvement over the XM3’s and XM4’s.

No need for any kind of EQ.

As has been said, if you want an EQ, buy something else

I mean by our use whatever headphones do you like. I find it funny that you feel you should have some sort of say and what others spend their money on. You don’t have to find what I or others spend their money on acceptable or not because you have no decision or choice in the matter. Perhaps you control your family members and what they spend their money on but that’s their problem and unfortunate for them. I personally wouldn’t spend the money on this app because I don’t find it necessary but I’m not going to tell someone else it’s not acceptable for them to do it.

This is not twitter and I am not Donald Trump who twitter tries to censor. So I am free to say what I please.

And considering I paid $100 for the Sony WH-1000XM3 and almost 6 times for my APM, the APM is really a joke for what it offers. It has:
- No case (probably need to buy a 3rd party $100 case)
- No cable
- No customizable EQ
- ANC levels cannot be customized.

Apple should really include atleast these things for $550 in 2020.

And yes, I do not recommend anyone to buy the APM for $550 and instead get a good deal on the Sony WH-1000XM3 (which I got for only $100). The APM doesn’t even sound that much better after EQ’ing the Sony.

Apple has an EQ in iOS. It works only for Apple Music app but it's an EQ nevertheless. As far as ANC levels, as long as you have a good transparency mode, which Apple has, I have no use for ANC levels. I either want ANC or don't want ANC. And other than Bose and Sony, many other ANC BT cans don't have ANC levels either. I think it's a gimmick.

What are you talking about? I didn’t say anything about Trump, Twitter, or censorship. Did someone else? You’re free to recommend or not recommend anything. That’s what the forums are about. I wouldn’t tell you that you can’t say your opinion. I would never say that and I’m personally anti censorship but that’s not really important to this topic. My apologies for the confusion ?‍♂️
