I'm on verizon wireless for about 3 yrs now with 3 lines all iphone 8+ (all paide off) it seem that verizon are alienating their current customers who wants to upgrade when it comes to trade in value, a $250 difference. So basically if I have an IPhone 8+ and trade it in and add a new line they'll take it for $500 but for the same phone if I upgrade my existing line it's only $250. I know selling it to 3rd party is a better route but in these case if I can find a workaround to adding a line, canceling and then trade in to Verizon I'll get the $500 credit. I'm probably just blabbing around here not making any sense. But just pissed off that's all. /rant.

I actually used the chat feature to talk to Verizon on their website. The representative gave me $500 trade in for my LG V30 and another $500 for my wife’s cracked iPhone 7. This was for an upgrade, not new lines. I asked the rep multiple times to make sure we understood each other. I also saved the chat and had it emailed to me in case something goes wonky.

you mean to tell me my existing iphone 8+ on vzw could be trade in as high as $500 just depending on who I talk to?

Possibly. I kept asking about deals, sales, etc. and kept bringing up the deals AT&T were offering to switch. Not sure if that had any effect.

If you try to cancel or show a promotion/offer from a competitor, Verizon (or whoever is ur current provider) will try to match to avoid losing you.
