Hey guys whats the best way to prolong the life of the battery on my galaxy?
Keep it above 40% ? Drain battery to 0 once a month?
Also when you originally get the galaxy s4, should you charge the battery before use? Or drain to 0% than charge?
Thanks

Its $20 for a new one. Just use your device as it was intended and don't fixate or worry about it and the battery will take care of itself.

You're right, its cheap, but id still like to maximize my battery. When you initially purchase the phone should you fully charge it before use?

Root and use greenify on apps that you Dont need push notifications for too. It forces the iOS approach (no background update) to multitasking on a per app basis.

A great way to control problem apps like Facebook.

For a newb rooting and greenifying apps is not straight forward. Likewise they have to be aware it voids their warranty unless they remove all traces of rooting.

Also this doesn't prolong the lifespan of the battery, only give you bit more general battery life in daily use.

OP just charge your battery up fully before using it, and use it.... When its low or you want to charge it - just charge it... Its how its designed to be used.

Also you will notice better battery life after a week of using your device than initially.

Yes indeed this is all true
