Hi Everyone

All this stuff about 6gb/8gb Ram in the MacBooks has me a thinkin! When I bought my iMac a couple of years ago Apple stated that it had 2gb Ram Maximum. I was wondering if since then this has 'changed' ie. someone tried with 4gb and that works fine. Here's some system details on my machine:

Model Name: iMac
Model Identifier: iMac4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 667 MHz

Cheers

Del

At one point here was a thread about replacing the Core Duo with a Core 2 Duo in iMacs. Wonder if that would remove the 2GB memory constraint?
