I got this card through ebay - Maxtor PCI Card...

Has anyone been able to successfully use this on their mac??

I've tried using the different ribbons.. nothing
I've tried different pci slots... nothing
I've tried using the same ribbon that I'm currently using... nothing

Sometimes things that don't say Mac compatible WILL work on the Mac.. But in this case, did I truly get a PC ONLY card???

Now dont take this the wrong way, but.......

It's da Firmware, I tellz ya, da Firmware.......

AFAIK, Maxtor does not, nor have they ever, produced an SATA (or any other type) card for Macs.......

Go with Firmtek, Acard or SIIG for 100% Mac compatibility :D
