Now right off the top this is a maybe. Not sure yet.
Superbiiz has 16gb sticks of ram for 378 each. really good price really good.

Now my 2010 quad 2.8 to a hex 3.2 has had flawless performance. Well I have 32gb ram in the form of four 8gb sticks. I can't possibly ever use this much ram,but power users can. Many people have said the only drawback of a single 6-core cpu is the ram limit. intel states my machine can only use 24gb ram well it registers 32gb ram and rembr tested the 32gb ram as good.
The 16gb sticks are 1066 my cpu only goes to 1066.
The 1066 sticks are 200 less then the 1333 sticks.

So any power user that finds 32gb ram as too small.
Can now buy 4 of these sticks your cost is under 1600 about 1512.
Cost of 8 8gb sticks is about 1040.
http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php...-8GB-512x4-ECC-REG-Samsung-Chip-Server-Memory
So building a hex 3.2 costs 2200 for a base quad 2.8 and 600 for the cpu.
so for 2800 plus 1512 total of 4312
you get a hex 3.2 with 64gb ram.
quite a bit less then the dual hex 2.93.
the dual hex 2.93 is 6200 new and 8 8gb sticks are at least 1040
http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php...-8GB-512x4-ECC-REG-Samsung-Chip-Server-Memory
so the machine would be 7200. vs 4312
same ram 64gb. a single hex 3.2 cpu vs 2 hex 2.93 cpus. for some users this is a very good money move.
sooo if someone has 1512 to spare and a hex 3.2 cpu lets us know if this will work.
