Hello all!
I've been reading this forum for quite some time now... I'm looking to switch from Windoze (can't wait). I've been waiting for Leopard, and for that elusive MB update. That being said, I thought of something a little earlier... Here it goes: What if Apple were to converge the MB and MBP lines into one? This way you could possibly have an entry level machine, with say a 13" screen, or you spec the thing out with faster processor, graphics, and a 17" screen. Also, this would alleviate the issue with a supposed MB revision getting too close to MBP in regards to power. As for the Penryn thing, it would become available to the machines on the next update. :apple:

I think this is very unlikely, companies always have at least two target audiences, the consumer laptop, and the business (producer) laptop.
These are tweaked to their repsectives needs and these are often reflected in their design.
Apple does like to havea uniform theme throughout all of its' products and I can definately see where you're coming from but I just can't see it happening.
It would, however, be a very nice idea.
