Just wondering what everyone is using as their external monitor for their laptops?

I bought my Macbook as a replacement for my desktop PC. Of course over time I realized that I really needed a larger monitor, I was tired of squinting while at my desk.

I recently bought the Samsung Syncmaster 206BW 20" LCD.

Below is a picture. What else does everyone have?

I have a 23" ACD because, well, I'm a snob and they look awesome ;) TBH I've only used it with the MBP once, though - the 15.4" is fine for everything I use it for.

I do have a 30" ACD in my office, but I haven't hooked the MBP up to it and don't intend to.

*ACD's... dribble*

Nice :) Those ACD's are nice. I was thinking of getting one until I saw the price tag...

Apple Cinema Display. They are nice but way over due a price drop or a update. You can get the same spec for half the price elsewhere.
Ahhhh.... thanks.

The panel in my Dell 20" is supposedly the same type used in an "ACD" (it's an S-IPS panel). I don't know if this is true, but the Dell is a really nice monitor!

The Dell 2407wfp totally rocks. I bought it last week and don't regret it one bit. Amazing monitor. You guys can keep your ACD's...they look nice, but you can't hook them up to so many things so easily. Xbox 360 at 1080p ftw.

The picture has the speakers on (detachable), but I took them off and hooked my own up.

Has any heard anything about the Dell 19"

Dell E198WFP 19" Widescreen LCD Flat link
or silver version
Dell SE198WFP 19" Widescreen LCD Flat link

They're ~£150 in the UK (20" ACD is £400)

appreciate your advice
