Mb & Mbp

Hello, my first post... I am in the market for a new laptop, and i have alway's run pc's and never mac, my wife bought a macbook and she loves it for work and for school. I am considering also buying a macbook but the macbook pro is really intruiging to me.. Is it worth the extra money... I mainly run #'s thru my computers for business and like to listen to music and movies and create a few small vacation video's and so on.. I am so very new to MAc's that i need any help i can get....
