Installed the latest firmware update this morning and fired up Core DuoTemp low and behold my MPP is running 10-20 degrees cooler. I guess they addressed more issues then the "sleep" problem. The fans are on but spinning very slowly.

Ran the same update on my 1.66 mini and have gotten the same result. :)

Good job Apple.

I tried installng the firmware upgrade but it owuldn't let me saying that I didn't need it. I have a brand new MBP C2D, shall I assume that this u/g is only for the CD? Does anyone know?
