So hey guys, long time no return, thank god, we are talking about the macbook here, and yeah its come to the point where i have to return it again, and there are a few issues, well the case is cracking, and i talked to an apple tech who said they might be able to replace it, fair enough, ive had the screen replaced before in this macbook, and in stores such as the apple store, and saturn here in Germany, i see that when theres a black screen there will be a curved band that is black, below that is grey, and above that is "out of the viewing angle" so its really dark, this also makes looking at black backgrounds annoying, and while watching movies you have black at the top while grey at the bottom.

So enough of my banter, is it just my macbook and the ones in saturn, or are all MB displays... crap, i dont know if its down to the glossy display, but the light isnt causing the curved band thing, its there all the time, even if the macbook is the only light source in the room, could you guys please check this out for me, all i really want to know is if anyone has a constant black screen when there is a black background.

Cheers
Paul
