I downloaded Core Duo Temp and the GHZ reader rarely touches 2.0, generally being in the 1.5 range (once it hit 1.33). Is this normal? I've only been running word documents and iTunes.

Mine steps up to the max speed as needed. If it ran at max speed all of the time, it'd make more heat than needed (and if you're on battery, use way more battery than needed).

Where can this program be found please? :)

The Core Duo steps up as needed. Start running something processor intensive. Maybe open up iDVD, or start importing something into iMovie, and watch it spike.
