What surfaces are appropriate to set the MB on? I've heard several things like: don't put it on your lap or you'll be impotent, don't use it on the bedspread or it'll explode, I've even heard somewhere that if you use the thing outside, the fan shuts off, causing serious internal and external damage/warping/explosion (Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit, sue me)
But anyway, can someone give me a few in/appropriate surfaces? By the way, I don't own a MB yet, I just have a lot of questions about it. :)

They do get pretty warm, so in general, you want to have it on a flat surface to allow for proper air circulation to cool the machine. That's about it...

iCurve and wireless keyboard and mouse for me :D

It keeps the computer cool (which results in no mooing), and is at a better eye level for me.

Have you experienced the iCurve plastic getting soft from the MB heat? I've read about people having these issus with PB's, but if you have no problems, I'm gonna get a wireless keyboard + iCurve, since I already have a Mighty mouse. :D

On topic: I keep mine on a wooden table, and I get no mooing/cool MB. :p

mee too... one day i was using it in bed on a pillow and it started mooing, and the fans became all wirry. i think those things seriously block the fan holes! now, icurve+ opened window and it can wina price for the most perfectly behaved cow.

if it helps, my icurved hasn't melted/ warped/ soften yet and my computer is on all day everyday...
