Hi, I have a 2.0ghz Macbook 5,1 (unibody, late '08 etc) with 2GB and the standard HD. I was wondering, If I had a 2.0GHz PowerMac G4, (with max ram, and a decent GPU) could it be up to speed with the Macbook for FCE4 renders and stuff? I know the G4 has a PPC chip instead, but were it is expandable for ram, video cards etc, could it be a better alternative?

MacBook is faster than any old PowerMac.

2.0ghz is probably a G5, unless it's a G4 with upgraded CPU.

Seems so...

Yea, thats what i've been thinking, I was posing the question because I would have liked to have the tower as apposed to a laptop.
